Dear all, Georgie is quite ill. I don't want to be alarmist. We have seen her low before.
The facts are that the nurse is worried about her being able to pull through.
It seems that perhaps a number of complications have arisen including retaining fluid.
She has had some difficulty with breathing and we have had her on oxygen on and off for the last few days. Her breathing is quite shallow and she is very tired not even opening her eyes today during her shower.
She is peaceful though and we are very thankful for that.
We are all trying to read to her etc. Work has slowed down a little this week which has been a welcome relief and of course Ange and Em and James are all on school holidays.
The staff at Westmead were planning to discuss the possibility of getting Georgie's central line out yesterday and just needed to consult with surgery but thought it should be possible and they would arrange the patient transfer etc. No trouble really as long as the surgeon says it can be done. Anyway her immediate need is pretty serious.
"I would have lost heart unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord be of good courage and He shall strengthen your heart.Wait I say on the Lord."
Psalm 27 v 13,14
