We've had Georgie back at home since Tuesday with a nurse at home from Uniting Care during the day. It is a bit like when you have a new baby at home eg hard to sleep properly, up and down at night etc.

Am currently reading a really interesting book on prayer called "Prayer Works" by brother Andrew. (of Open doors and "God's Smuggler") It is very challenging. His emphasis is on perseverance in prayer and avoiding what he calls fatalistic attitudes to the problems we both have and see in the world. Taking part in and even helping form God's plans through prayer.Bringing about change through persevering in prayer.

  1. Hi Greg,
Thanks for the invitation to join the Prayer page. I just got onto the Dept email and received the email you sent weeks ago. You must have wondered what happened to me!

It will be nice to start each day opening Georgie's page again. I have kept you in my thoughts and prayers but it will be nice to pray for specifics again.

I hope Georgie is enjoying her trips home. It must be good for her to feel at home, rather than in hospital.

I hope you and Ange manage to get some sleep.

All the best to you all,
    Cath

  2. Hey Brooke family! Finally managed to get some sensible computer time & sign in to catchup on your latest news! So great to see Georgie has come home. It was very exciting to hear that this was a possibility when talking to Ange last weekend. Now the garden is really taking shape it will be a wonderful place for Georgie to bask in the open air come Spring! I agree with Cath's comment that it will be nice to pray for specifics again so Greg thanks so much for taking the time to keep us in the loop. Georgie is truly a treasure and I feel very blessed to be able to pray for her. Love & hugs to you all, Vivienne & the Lovett Lot

  3. Hi Greg,
What wonderful news I read! Have been 'off air' for a short time and God is still unchanging and so THERE!!!
How long is Georgie home for, or is it a day to day thing? We all know - "one day at a time, sweet Jesus ..........".
Continuing to bring you ALL before our Lord each day.

  4. I continually thank You, God for Georgie and I will never give up praying for Georgie.

I will keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give Greg and Ange spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that they may know God better. And that they might grow in their knowledge of God making them intelligent and discerning in knowing God personally.

I pray also that the eyes of their hearts may be enlightened in order that they may know how great is the hope to which He is calling them. That they will understand the wonderful future He has promised to those He called. And that they may know the riches of His glorious inheritance - the magnificence and splendour of the inheritance promised to Christians.

And so that Greg and Ange can know and understand what is the immeasurable, unlimited and surpassing greatness of God's power in and for us who believe, as demonstrated in the working of His mighty strength. That power is the same divine power which was demonstrated in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and gave Him the place of supreme honour in Heaven - far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.

    Amen

    (Compiled from Ephesians 1:16-21)

  5. Hi Greg and Angela,

Good to see that the book Prayer Works is providing you with some encouragement. Brother Andrew is a great man of prayer and always is positive-He is now in his 80's but such a great inspiration-he believes nothing in God is impossible.

    May God sustain you both
