Wednesday 29th July
We are having a few warmer days here and there now. Spring will be here soon.
James came in this morning to tell us that his finches and budgies are all starting to lay eggs. It reminded us of one time when Georgie was little we went over to the chook yard and watched a hen in the nesting box and the hen stood up and out dropped an egg. "An egg!" Georgie exclaimed in surprised delight as she suddenly realised just how the eggs got into the nesting boxes! Aren't kids great how they believe things magically appear.
Ange, Em and James went out to Nyngan for the weekend and had a great time catching up with the Youngs on their farm who are enjoying a good season.
Georgie had been very sick but Ange really needed a change of scenery so we convinced her to go. As they drove off I laid it all out to God expecting Him to do something but also knowing that Georgie was almost sick enough to need to go back to hospital. (Anges Mum told me later she had basically prayed ALL day)
Georgie was chesty, had a temp and had been sick and showing all te signs of recurring pneumonia and I didn't know how I could cope but then almost as soon as I'd prayed her temp disappeared, she did not cough once all weekend, no more being sick and I got her out for about three hours sunshine in the afternoon. Almost straight away when I took her outside a mass of black cloud came up threatening to block out the afternoons sun and wreck our chance of getting Georgie into some fresh warm air and sunlight. I just kept praying and asking God to give us sunlight. The big cloud mass never went away all afternoon but it just kept parting and moving around the sun so we had almost continual sunshine all afternoon. God is good and His mercies are new every morning.
Ended up being a very good weekend and was much refreshed by it for all of us.
Read Romans 8 and learnt that both the Holy Spirit and Jesus intercede for us.

  1. Good to hear someone else thinks spring is on the way! Our prayers are always with you and as we encounter more and more people who know and pray for Georgie, even though they don't know how she actually is. They are always pleased to know that prayer is working and that their prayers are still so very greatful.
    Love to all

  2. Hi guys :)
Wow - another great testimony Greg that the Lord is GOOD and that He HEARS OUR PRAYERS! Praising Him that the temp went, that the sun came out and that Angie got some rest :)
    Blessings in Christ,
