Monday 28th Sept

Hi Georgie has had a very rough weekend with seizures and vomiting. It is pretty serious (again)
She has had one of her meds altered and it it could be this but then maybe it isn't.
Ange is just about had it. Have been thinking at times what is the point of all of this? Yet we can only do what we know to do - otherwise you would do nothing at all.
As I was reading Samuel last night I found this passage about Joab the leader of David's army and how a hired army had come against him. They formed themselves into battle. Joab against the Syrians and his brother against the men of ammon. It struck me how this is what we do as Christians. When the enemy is too strong for our brother we go to help him and vice versa. They formed into battle as this is what they knew to do - the rest was up to God.

2 Samuel 10 v 9 When Joab saw that the battle line was against him before and behind, he chose some of Israel’s best and put them in battle array against the Syrians. 10 And the rest of the people he put under the command of Abishai his brother, that he might set them in battle array against the people of Ammon. 11 Then he said, “If the Syrians are too strong for me, then you shall help me; but if the people of Ammon are too strong for you, then I will come and help you. 12 Be of good courage, and let us be strong for our people and for the cities of our God. And may the LORD do what is good in His sight.”

  1. Hi guys,

Not sure if you got our text message yesterday but wanted to let you know we have been praying for you. Psalm 103 was what i shared in the msg (in case you didn't get it!) that the Lord had put on my heart for you yesterday as we were in prayer for Georgie.

Thanks for sharing the verses from 2Samuel - it's a great insight.

Are you happy for me to post to ask for prayer on a forum i belong to called Scrap of Faith? I just know some of the girls there were praying a while back for Georgie and I'm sure they'd love to continue praying for her needs + your whole family now. No pressure though - just thought I'd check first and ask.

We are standing with you guys! "And after you have done everything, to stand" - Ephesians 6:13.

Loving gracious Father, thank you that you are with Angie + Greg and the kids right now at this really difficult time. Please send your strength to them like on wings of eagles that they would be able to soar with you. Lord Jesus thank you for all that you have done so far through Georgie's life. Lord we are asking for your strength, comfort, peace surpassing understanding + your joy to be with the whole Brooke family right now. Lord we know you see all that they are enduring. Thank you for the promise in your word that you won't allow them to be tested beyond their strength (1 Cor 10:13). We know your ways are above ours but please Lord bring restoration, healing and comfort to this precious family that you love so much. Thank you Father in Jesus name I ask.

    Love to you all,
    Lusi + Brett + kids x
